For more than two decades, Clayton Bellamy has been a defining voice in Canadian country rock. Now, he is embarking on an exciting new chapter with Soft Kind of Loud, his first solo album in over a decade.

Introducing the project is “I Miss Tom Petty,” an intimate, nostalgia-filled song inspired by the spirit of Tom Petty. Co-written with Dan Davidson and Tim Hicks, the track explores getting older, holding onto memories, and the bittersweet truth that nothing lasts forever. “I Miss Tom Petty” sets the tone for Bellamy’s upcoming album, a deeply personal body of work rooted in sincerity, vulnerability and the experiences that connect us all.

The single also ties directly into Bellamy’s acclaimed The Legendary Life of Tom Petty tour - a high-energy, multi-media concert experience celebrating the music, stories and legacy of one of rock’s most iconic artists. Created and led by Bellamy, the show brings Tom Petty’s legendary career to life through music and storytelling. Bellamy kicks off his North American tour in October, with dates running through April 2027. Tour dates are listed below, with new dates being added as they’re confirmed.
