As a founding member of The Road Hammers, Bellamy helped redefine Canadian country music with a sound that was equal parts grit, soul, and rock and roll. Behind the scenes, he has also become one of the country's most respected songwriters, penning songs for countless artists while never losing sight of the reason he started making music in the first place: to tell honest stories.

That spirit is at the heart of his forthcoming album, Soft Kind of Loud. His first solo album in more than a decade, the project marks a deeply personal new chapter for Bellamy. While his career has comfortably moved between rock, country, and Americana, this collection isn't driven by genre or commercial expectation. The first single from the project, “I Miss Tom Petty” offers a glimpse into the heart of the album. Co-written with Dan Davidson and Tim Hicks, the introspective song reveals a side of Bellamy listeners have rarely heard before. It reflects on nostalgia, growing older, and the bittersweet realization that the people, places, and moments we cherish don't last forever.

More than a tribute show, it's a heartfelt celebration of an artist whose songwriting, honesty, and unwavering commitment to authenticity helped shape Bellamy's own musical journey. Petty's influence can be heard throughout Bellamy's writing on the song from Soft Kind of Loud - not through imitation, but through a shared belief that great songs never need to pretend to be anything they're not.
